About the client
KITABOO is a cloud platform for creating, securing and distributing interactive eBooks, used by K-12, higher-education and trade publishers, training companies and associations. It describes itself as a Hurix Systems platform serving 6M+ active users across 25+ countries (figures from KITABOO).
What needed fixing
A B2B software company's website has to keep up with the sales team: new landing pages for campaigns, lead forms, comparison pages and a steady blog.
When every change goes through developers, the marketing team waits, and pages go out late or not at all.
The system, piece by piece
A rebuilt marketing site
Around 120 pages covering products, solutions, comparisons, landing pages and the blog, rebuilt for speed and search.
Content system with approvals
A CMS where pages move from Draft to In review to Published, with editor, publisher and owner roles, and safe discarding of drafts.
Admin workspace
One place for the marketing team to see pending approvals, recent changes and logs, with short summaries of who changed what and when.
AI page editing
An MCP connection so the team can ask an AI assistant to draft or update landing pages, with clear rules on what the AI may change and what still needs a developer.
Lead-generation forms
Forms on landing and product pages that route enquiries to the sales team.
Where AI is used
- The marketing team connects its AI assistant to the site through an MCP content service and uses it to create and edit landing pages.
- Every AI change goes into the same approval flow as a human edit, so nothing is published without review.
Controls on who publishes what
- Draft, In review and Published states, with publishing limited to the right roles.
- A change log with short, readable summaries of every edit.
- Guardrails that keep AI edits to content and send structural changes to developers.
What changed
- kitaboo.com relaunched with around 120 pages on the new system.
- The marketing team creates and updates pages through an approval flow, with AI help, instead of raising developer tickets.
- Change requests tracked and worked through in a shared tracker with the client.
A website only helps sales if the people who run campaigns can change it the same day. That is what this rebuild was for.
