The challenge
Large live events run on cash-equivalent event wallets — money loaded onto a wristband or card for use at stalls and vendors across the venue. That model is efficient for attendees, but it concentrates risk: a large on-ground team has to be coordinated in real time, and any gap in monitoring is an opening for fraud, at a scale where manual oversight alone doesn't keep up.
What was built
Joistic built AI that sits inside TicketRoot's event operations: it automates the operational decisions that used to require constant manual coordination, assigns the on-ground workforce as conditions on-site change, and monitors wallet transactions in real time to flag fraud patterns as they emerge — not after an event has ended and the loss is already booked.
Why this needed an agent, not a dashboard
A reporting dashboard would have shown TicketRoot what happened after the fact. The requirement here was action during the event — reassigning staff, flagging a suspicious transaction pattern the moment it appears — which is exactly the difference between a system that answers questions and one that runs a workflow end to end. It's the same reason this falls under Joistic's custom AI agent work rather than a BI or reporting project.
The result
TicketRoot's event operations and fraud checks now run on this system across major live events, with more than ₹5 crore in event wallet transactions handled through it. The workforce coordination and fraud monitoring that used to depend entirely on how many people were watching at once now runs continuously, at events with tens of thousands of attendees.
